1973Porsche
Aurbergine
Thank you for looking at my one of one custom build. This was a six year project utilizing the best builders in So-Cal. It all started around the one of four engines built by the first Singer engine designer and builder. Jae Lee of Mirage International has tested designed and built a 4.4L air cooled monster. The first 4.4L has been in his test mule the “Green Monster”. Jae Lee’s race car has been passing and running down current cup cars for years. Jae Lee and I said let’s put one in a street car. And so it began. Next was the stance and suspension. Custom made front uprights from JRZ with added camber and a lowered ride height. The rears have SC rear trailing arms that have been lowered 40mm into the rear pick up location. Tires are Pirelli P7’s rears are 345/15 fronts are 295/15. Brakes are from the 70’s race days. Before Brembo all the fast cars used Bremteck. These were used to stop this monster and still fit inside the custom one off BBS 15” wheels with gold centers. After the suspension wheels and tires were fitted the car had the fenders cut and sent to the metal man. Chris Thompson spent 15 months perfecting the flairs, bumpers and all stainless steel and aluminum trim in all metal and lead. No fiberglass and no filler. Only a skim coat was needed prior to repainting in its original Aurbergine color. It took more than one shot at making the interior what reflected the quality of the build. After some social media content discovery I was contacted by Herman and his brother at Stuggart upholstery. Their talent and skill is apparent when seen in person. Most of the interior is Suade with a three color thread stitching. Herman’s custom touch shows up in the custom one piece knee pad and the added pleated in the rear quarter trim at the rear seats. During the last eight months since the car was finished has been a wild ride. This car has won many trophies and has been the people’s choice winner at two major Porsche car shows. The latest one being Parade in Oklahoma City. It is my pleasure owning and presenting this amazing car. I only would hope that all of you could Experiance the drive of this over powered light weight. Thank You
