Single family owner. My father bought the car in 1972. This was the first of three Porsches that he purchased over a 14 year period. I was gifted the 1972 when I graduated from high school in 1982 and nicknamed the car, "Mr. Friend". He was my daily driver for 40+ years whenever the road conditions cooperated. I am happy to share that "Mr. Friend" has been fully restored to his original "new car" state over the last two years by Scott Brideau at Car Concepts and Wade Nelson of Eagle, Idaho (both experts in their respective fields). The engine was dropped, and the car was stripped down to it's body shell and repainted in his original tengerine organge color with meticulous attention and detail to fix, replace and correct any rust, blemish, dents and parts. The last piece we are missing to complete his restoration is a period specific Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM radio (US version) model C or D. If you know of one, please let us know!
