I bought my car from a dealership in Campbell, CA in 2015 and had it shipped up to Seattle where we were living at the time. It’s been a joy ever since. I was debating between a 997 and the 993 but I think I made the right choice. I was first introduced to Porsches in South Africa when my younger brother bought a 76 Carrera 3.0 Targa. He was 21 and subsequently him and my cousins bought many more Porsches. I was hooked! I love the visceral and relatively simple nature of the 993 which, so far, has allowed me to do all my own maintenance. When we moved to Eagle in 2023, I just decided to drive it down from Seattle and enjoyed every minute. As a member of the PCA the car has also enabled great connections with other car lovers.
